About the Cottage

The cottage faces east and south catching the sun all day. A glazed porch with a stable door leads into the hall, with only five stairs to the upper floor. An oak chest holds brochures and maps to guide you through the area.

The bedroom has old oak beams, dual aspect windows, north/south and a double bed. Pine furniture and Dorma fabrics enhance the cottage look. The bathroom is adjacent with heated towel rail, shaver point, toilet, basin and bath with hand shower over. Bath robes, towels and toiletries are included.

This sunny room is traditionally furnished with Arts & Crafts English walnut table, chairs and bookcase. Cool décor, pictures, comfy seating, and William Morris linen curtains and cushions complement the look.
There’s TV, DVD, radio and books. Patio doors lead to a private sun- trapped sitting area with lovely views all round. It’s especially attractive for breakfast outside.

The modern kitchen is fully fitted with the usual appliances including a washing machine. There’s a table and chairs for relaxed dining or the sitting room is also equipped for more formal dining.

The cottage is surrounded by gardens. Wide stone steps lead to the large upper garden from where there are lovely views.  There are shrub and flower borders, a wild-life pond, cordoned fruit trees and a kitchen garden, all for visitors to explore. Produce is available according to the season.
